REPORT ON YOGA DAY

International Yoga Day is more than just finding physical expression in a pose – it’s a worldwide movement, encouraging individuals and communities to reap the holistic benefits that yoga offers. No matter how or where you practice or if you’re a novice, there are a variety of ways to mark the occasion and take action on June 21.

On 21st June 2025, KAMKUS COLLEGE OF LAW"in collaboration with Matri Healers celebrated the International Yoga Day. The theme of the year “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, 2025. The theme was informed that the idea is to make the entire world healthy with yoga. The theme emphasizes the deep relationship between our own health and the health of our planet. Yoga isn't just about individual well-being; it fosters a connection between the inner self and the outer world.

  • One Earth: All living things, including humans, animals, and plants, call our planet home. We must take care of it by coexisting peacefully with the natural world.
  • One Health: The state of the environment has a direct impact on our health as well. Everyone benefits when we take care of our environment and ourselves.
  • The Contribution of Yoga: Yoga teaches us to live in harmony, be mindful, and make wise decisions. We can protect the environment and improve our own health by practicing yoga.

It was attended by Students, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff (Approx 200). The event began with a brief introduction on Yoga Day by Principal Dr. Ambuj Sharma.

Warm up exercises, Tadasana, Surya Namaskar, Dhyan Yoga and other various exercises were performed by all. Importance of these yoga were explained simultaneously by the instructor Ms. Sumiran Kapoor (Founder Matri Healers) . She encouraged everyone to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration.

All Faculties, Staff and Students were taught the importance of Yoga in their life & how to maintain the harmony between body and mind. Everyone discussed the importance of yoga and exhibited yoga postures and promised to introduce this activity in their daily life.

Impact of the Event:

International Yoga Day = celebrating the unity of body, mind, and nature. Whether big or small, every movement helps - so roll out your mat and join the world’s shift toward mindfulness and health. The day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga. With today’s life, which is going so fast, everybody should integrate yoga into their everyday daily practice..
