Constitution Day, also known as Samvidhan Diwas, is observed every year on 26 November to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. For those connected to the legal profession, this day holds great importance as it serves as a reminder of the democratic ideals, fundamental rights, and duties that shape the nation. Kamkus College of Law marked this significant occasion with enthusiasm and respect in the College Library, where both students and faculty actively participated in various events.

The celebration began with a heartfelt welcome to all students, faculty members welcome, setting a tone of unity and anticipation. The library was festooned with vibrant posters, inspirational quotes from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar the architect of the Constitution and pivotal excerpts from the document itself, creating an immersive atmosphere.

Our respected Principal, Dr. Ambuj Sharma, addressed the gathering and delivered an insightful talk on how the Constitution of India was formed, starting from the formation of the Constituent Assembly in 1946 to the adoption of the final draft on 26 November 1949. He beautifully explained the contributions of eminent leaders such as Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the Chairman of the Drafting Committee, and highlighted the immense hard work, debates, and discussions that went into creating the world’s lengthiest written constitution.

To highlight the importance of this day, the students of Kamkus College of Law celebrated Constitution Day with great enthusiasm. They participated in a Poster-Making Activity, creating informative and artistic posters on fundamental rights, duties, the Preamble, and the making of the Constitution, which were displayed in the library. During Stage Presentations, several students shared their thoughts on the vision of the Constitution’s framers, democratic values, and the need for constitutional awareness in today’s society. Their contributions reflected creativity, responsibility, and deep respect for constitutional principles.

Constitution Day is more than a celebration—it is a reminder of the foundations on which India stands. Its importance can be understood through the following points:
