Examination Committee

The Examination Committee serves as the guardian of academic integrity and efficiency within the College. This dedicated body plays a critical role in ensuring:

  • Timely Examinations: The Committee meticulously plans and schedules examinations, guaranteeing their adherence to established timelines.
  • Transparency and Fairness: The Committee oversees the entire examination process, upholding the highest standards of quality assurance and maintaining the integrity of each assessment.
  • Results Dissemination: The Committee is responsible for the timely and accurate declaration of examination results.

Objective-:

The Examination Committee serves as the cornerstone of academic assessment within the College. Its core functions encompass :

  • Examination Administration : The Committee diligently conducts internal assessments and external examinations aligned with university notifications, ensuring all coursework is rigorously evaluated.
  • Programmatic Assessments : The Committee oversees the administration of internal, external, and practical examinations for every program offered by the College.
  • Transparent Scheduling : To ensure proper student preparation, the Committee meticulously prepares and disseminates a detailed examination schedule in advance.
  • Examination Logistics : The Committee efficiently allocates appropriate examination halls for all College assessments.
  • Question Paper Preparation : The Committee guarantees that question papers are meticulously crafted and distributed well in advance of each examination.
  • Answer Script Management : Following each examination, the Committee collects all answer scripts and verifies the inclusion of any necessary supporting documents.
  • Evaluation Oversight : The Committee arranges for both internal and external evaluations of the examinations, ensuring a comprehensive and unbiased assessment process.
  • Result Publication : The Committee is responsible for the timely and accurate publication of examination results.
  • Supplementary Examination Facilitation : The Committee takes all necessary steps to ensure the prompt conduct of supplementary examinations for students who require them.
  • Grievance Redressal : The Committee provides a vital platform for addressing any exam-related concerns or grievances raised by students or staff, fostering a fair and transparent examination environment.

Functions of Examination committee-:

  • To conduct the Internal/ External/ Practical Examinations for all the programmes offered in the College.
  • To prepare Time Table for the above-mentioned examinations in advance and inform the students about the same.
  • To allot the exam halls for all the examinations conducted in the College.
  • To ensure that all the question papers are prepared well in advance.
  • To collect all the answer scripts and the supporting documents required.
  • To arrange for External/Internal Valuation of Exams.
  • To publish the results and take necessary steps for the conduct of supplementary exams in time.
  • To address the grievances/ complaints of the students and staff concerning exam-related issues.

Tenure-:

  • The Examination Committee will operate with a two-year term. To ensure effective decision-making, a quorum of two-thirds of the committee members is required for official meetings. The committee will convene at least twice per semester to discuss and manage examination procedures.

Procedure-:

  • The Examination Committee will convene at least twice per semester for productive meetings. Before each gathering, a formal notification will be circulated to all members, ensuring their timely attendance. Following each session, the committee will take decisive action to translate the discussed agenda into concrete steps, effectively carrying out its mission of ensuring a smooth and well-managed examination process.
